Program Description: 

YouthNet Program WorkForce Readiness is an afterschool, year-round job readiness and pre-vocational program serving 50 (primarily hispanic) youth ages 13 to 18 who are at high risk of dropping out or are in danger of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system. The program offers five modules which are 10 weeks in length and teach a variety of work readiness, soft skills, leadership development, basic math, english, financial literacy, computer applications, and college and career literacy. These modules are in the areas of green technology and media production. There will be a culminating experience such as an externship, internship, part- or full-time work opportunity. The program runs for 50 weeks per year, weekday afternoons from 2pm-6pm.
