Program Description: 

Central Y's Tenderloin Youth Development Program offers afterschool enrichment and leadership opportunities. The program includes youth development activities, leadership groups, community service projects, exposure to diverse career options, after-school activities, tutoring and mentoring, sports, camping, strength-training, and fun. The facility features an outdoor basketball and soccer court, culinary kitchen, state-of-the-art recording studio, computer lab, clubhouse, and fitness center.The Tenderloin Junior Youth Program provides afterschool programming for grades K–8. Classes include homework assistance, tutoring in math, english and science, self-sufficiency and other life skills including communication skills. Students are also educated in healthy eating and living through culinary arts programming and discussion groups on current events. PE, outdoor sports, art, and music activities are offered. The program is open weekly, Monday through Friday from 3pm–6pm.
