Program Description: 

The Sequoia Leadership Institute (SLI) provides work-based learning opportunities for low-income, LGBTQQ youth of color. Through a culturally relevant training curriculum, skill-building activities, and mentorship, SLI provides participating youth with knowledge and skills that will prepare them for the world of work. Four cohorts are held annually in Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Participants work approximately 10 hours per week and are paid $11 per hour. Program hours vary by season.
