This M-F 9am-4pm camp places a special focus on helping campers ages 8-12 learn about science through sailing and other educational activities at Lake Merced. Youth will get involved with hands-on learning activities and fun experiential education exercises that will bring science to life. Topics include wildlife biology, hydrology and math. Each student will learn the basic principles of safe sailing, sail trim, boat maneuvering, safety, knots and protection of the environment. We provide experienced sailing instructors who also hold certificates in CPR and First Aid; and small sized sailboats that make sailing easy to learn. No previous sailing experience is required. Class size is a maximum of 16 students and there is a minimum class size of 8 students. Cost $255.
