Program Description: 

The Magic Zone offers year round programming for teens, with a partnership with SFUSD to supportchronically truant youth during the school year. The Magic Zone's Teen programming includes enrichment, civic engagement, youth development, communitybuilding activities, career explorations, and college prep. During the school year students receive help with their homework and academic support. Year round students work on special projects linked toacademics and engage in enrichment activities focused on improving academic outcomes. The Magic ZoneTeen program is focused on youth and leadership development. The youth engage in project based activities that allowfor academic support while affording youth an opportunity to lead community projects and be involved in civicengagement and leadership. Youth organize community events, lead discussions for younger youth andidentify needs and strategies to improve community.
