Program Description: 

The LGBTQQ Leadership and Allyship program is aimed at creating a culture that promotes acceptance of LGBTQQ youth. Aptos, Denman, and Presidio middle schools' students, faculty, and staff will participate in creating safe and supportive environments for all students, particularly LGBTQQ youth. The program runs throughout the school year. All students receive workshops on anti-oppression, anti-transphobia and anti-homophobia throughout the year. Core LGBTQQ youth and allies will join a Diversity Club twice a week during lunch. Curricula include team building, communication, self-advocacy and diversity.
