Program Description: 

Kabataan, which means "Youth" in Tagalog, is a program of the Filipino-American Development Foundation in partnership with Balboa High School. The main goal of the program is to build youth leadership in service of the Filipino community and seeks to engage youth and students in leadership development activities to empower them to find solutions to the community problems and issues they face. Enrichment activities will also build skills useful during high school and college. Teamwork, collective decision making, event planning and organization are common themes. Activities take place mostly, but not exclusively, afterschool at Balboa High School and all students are welcome.
