During the school year, UP staff pick up K-5 youth at Bessie Carmichael Elementary School and walk them 2 blocks to the UP Clubhouse for afterschool homework help and activities. Middle School youth ages 11-13 attend on a drop-in basis daily for homework assistance, workshops and activities that stem from a violence prevention foundation and encourage participation in the planning and facilitation of community civic engagement events.
