Program Description: 

The Gilman Playground Rec Connect After School Program is focused on after-school educational support and recreational activities for high-risk, primarily African-American youth living in public/subsidized housing in the Bayview Hunters Point community. The program provides daily homework assistance sessions along with a variety of sports clinics, enrichment activities and recreational outings based on a seasonal calendar. The program ensures that there are activities geared toward school age youth and their families living in Bayview/Hunters Point. The program also provides community building events.
