Program Description: 

SFUSD ExCEL afterschool programs ensure involvement of teachers from students' schools to make sure that afterschool academics are aligned with the school day curriculum. Every school with and ExCEL program partners with a nonprofit community based organization to run activities and build bridges to the neighborhood. The Richmond Village Beacon offers this high school program on campus at George Washington High School.  There are three areas of focus for the program: youth employment, multicultural programs and teen enrichment services.  This FREE program is available at lunchtime and afterschool, food is provided, and students can also participate in summer programming.
