Season:
Summer
Program Location:
Fort BraggCA 95437
Program Description:

Founded in 1891, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) serves over 1,200 youth and teens per day at nine neighborhood clubhouses.
Dedicated to helping kids from disadvantaged circumstances, BGCSF provides a broad range of programs to inspire young people to realize their potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. As state financial support to schools dwindles, the Clubs provide opportunities for at-risk youth to gain access to a wide variety of programs and activities, from technology and leadership skills to gang-prevention and intervention, to fine arts and athletics. BGCSF also offers access to health services, daily homework assistance and tutoring, as well as specialized programs for young girls and teens.BGCSF owns and operates Camp Mendocino, a camp in the Jackson Redwood State Forest surrounded by towering giant redwoods. Located in a 2,000 acre beautiful redwood forest three and half hours north of San Francisco, Camp Mendocino offers programs that are clearly unique to those offered at our nine Clubhouses in San Francisco. As with all programs at Boys and Girls clubs, kids learn respect for others and themselves and are given opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.2013 Summer Sessions:Dates:
