Program Description: 

The Bayview Youth Advocates (BYA) program is a youth-led multicultural collaborative comprised of the youth committed to planning, developing and implementing activities such as Bayview Youth Summit that promote tolerance, understanding, diversity and racial harmony in their schools and in their community. The goal of their message of tolerance and understanding is to bring about sustainable changes in policies and public systems in their community and have a positive impact and long lasting effect in the Bayview Hunters Point/Visitacion Valley neighborhoods and San Francisco. The youth leaders meet three times per week during afterschool hours at the CYC Bayview Branch office.
