Youth will attend 'Just Choizes' programs one day a week for 2 hours each day. Hours increase after each action project is established; youth will also attend field trips outside of weekly groups.

Program Description: 

“Just Choizes”, a social justice program, empowers youth to become change makers in their community. Theprogram will focus on 2 large projects per year that aim to make significant local impact. Youth can apply for‘Just Choizes’ positions at 2 points throughout the school year. Weekly workshops centralized on local community issues. Workshops will lead to two action initiatives orservice learning projects generating a positive community impact. Youth will also attend field trips orconferences relevant to social justice and service learning. Youth have access to educational mentoring and guidance from program support staff, as well as attend aminimum of 3 college tours during program cycle. Additionally, students will have an opportunity to bereferred and connected to staff who can provide the educational guidance and support.
