Organization Description: 

Young Performers International (YPI) is a non-profit performing arts program primarily for low-income and underserved children and teens. Teachers are from a diverse pool of professional musicians. In-school and afterschool programs are offered in San Francisco, Oakland, and Mill Valley. Class fees are significantly lower than most music programs in the Bay Area. No one is turned away for lack of funds.Classes:
YPI's terrific classes include: The Bucket Brigade Percussion Ensemble, The Big Kids Chorus, The Magix Chorus, and Jazz/Rock Band. They also offer individual instruction in guitar, piano, voice, percussion, flute, bass, saxophone, clarinet, violin, or trumpet .Classes are conveniently scheduled most any time — on weekends, evenings, as well during afterschool hours.Camps:
YPI offers intensive summer camps in San Francisco, Oakland, and Mill Valley. Aspiring musicians must attend a placement meeting to determine which band to join. Individual instruction is available Tuesday through Friday both before and after camp at an additional cost.2013 Summer Camp:
