A landmark that is part of the Sutro Historic District, Sutro Baths is a great place to bring your wee ones, as well as kids studying San Francisco or California history. The ghost of the formerly lavish Sutro Baths, popular in the early part of the 1900's, can be a fun place to explore. The views from Sutro Baths are spectacular. A popular spot is an eerie, very dark cave. Close by are Land’s End, where you can hike from Sutro Baths to the Palace of Legion of Honor, the Cliff House, and Sutro Heights Park.Also visit the Camera Obscura behind the Cliff House and see 360 degrees of spectacular live images of the Seal Rock Area. The giant camera is a National Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
