Organization Description: 

Instituto Familiar de la Raza, Inc. (IFR) is a multi-service community health and social service agency with over 60 bilingual/multicultural and multidisciplinary staff. IFR works with families, children, youth, and caregivers.Youth programs include:
- La Cultura Cura: Services include intensive case management, court advocacy, mental health services, and innovative arts programming for monolingual, monocultural Latino youth and their families.
- La Clínica: IFR runs an outpatient mental health clinic for children, youth, adults, and families using different approaches to healing.
- Early Intervention and School-Based Program: IFR partners with Mission Head Start, the SFUSD, and family childcare providers to offer mental health services that are developmentally and culturally informed to care providers of children ages 0 to 17. The Early Intervention team also works with special education students at Cesar Chavez, Bryant, and Paul Revere elementary schools and Horace Mann Middle School.
- Chicano/Latino Family Resource System (FRS): FRS provides case management, family advocacy, mental health services, information referrals, and parenting classes for families with children under 14 years old.
- Casa Corazón: A safe and welcoming environment for Latino families with expecting mothers or families with children up to five years old. The program helps offers weekly workshops and court-mandated parenting classes. They also help parents access information on raising healthy children through education in child development, nutrition, and family activities. Casa Corazon is a place for parents to improve their communication skills and develop parent leadership skills in the community. All activities and services are FREE, offered in Spanish, and open every Tuesday and Friday from 5pm–7pm. Childcare and refreshments are  provided.
