Organization Description: 

The Asian Women's Resource Center (AWRC) is the community outreach center at the Gum Moon Women's Residence. Gum Moon is a multi-purpose outreach facility for Asian American women but is also open to the public.AWRC hosts the DCYF-supported Asian Family Support Project, which provides the following services to Asian immigrant families:- "Meets & Eats"/Friendship Group
- Individual and/or family counseling
- Mental health assessment
- Speech delay assessment and therapy
- Case management for children with special needsClasses:The Asian Family Support Project offers the following youth classes:
- Parent-Child Development Program for children ages 0 to 3.5, FREE, pre-registration required
- An Afterschool Tutorial Program for kids in grades 1–6, $520 per semester
- Children's Art classes: Western and Chinese media art classes for kids ages 5–13, $90 per eight sessions plus materials fee
- Individual piano lessons for adults and kids ages 5 and up, 45 minutes, $30Camps:The Summer School provides academic tutorial and socialization for low to moderate income children through daily classes, cultural outings, and recreational activities. At-risk youth participate by being teachers' aides and attending youth leadership workshops.2013 Summer Session:

Parking in Chinatown is very difficult. There are two city-run parking garages located within a five-minute walk of their facility. The Portsmouth Square and St. Mary's garages (on California Street near Grant Street) are your best bets for neighborhood parking. Muni: 1, 30, 45
