Conscious Youth Media Crew (CYMC) is a San Francisco-based youth-driven, digital media production studio.They provide the technology and training necessary for inner city youth to create quality media that represents their experiences, stimulates meaningful dialogue, and promotes social change. Conscious Youth Media Crew participants become lifelong learners who gain workforce skills to help shape a successful future for themselves and their communities.Afterschool:CYMC offers a Digital Media Training Series that includes:
- After-School Young Producers Internship Program: interns learn story development, basic camera operations, basic light and sound techniques, Final Cut Pro advanced editing software, special effects and graphics, and screening and distribution of completed works.
- School-based Partnership with Downtown High School: screenwriting and multimedia arts and technology. All student participants earn academic credit towards graduation through the completion of project requirements through the partnership.
