If you've been in San Francisco long enough, you've probably heard of the beat poets who ended up in our fair City in the 1950s. You've most likely seen or read the names of Jack Kerouac, Neal Cassady, Allen Ginsberg, and Gary Snyder. Now there stands a museum dedicated to spreading the spirit of The Beat Generation, which we define as tolerance, compassion, and having the courage to live your individual truth. The museum has an extensive collection of Beat memorabilia, including original manuscripts and first editions, letters, personal effects and cultural ephemera.
