Hours of Operation:
Tues–Sun 9am–5pm. Some Mondays we are open, please check our calendar for those special days.
Organization Description:

Just under the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge is a fantastic place where children and their families will find activities in art, science, and culture. The museum has several exhibit spaces both indoors and out that cover a total of 7 acres in the Fort Baker Golden Gate National Recreation Area. This includes a fabulous two-and-a-half acre outdoor adventure area where kids can explore replicas of a shipwreck, a crow’s nest, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. Special performances, music, art activities, food, and fun await the whole family year round!

Celebrations: The Museum offers special birthday party packages available year-long. Please call the Reservations Assocaiate at 415-339-3931 for more information. Private rental spaces, both indoor and out, are also available for corporate, retreats, and meetings! More information can be found at http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/plan-your-visit/birthday-parties/

Classes: Get Ready to Get Messy, Outdoor Learning, Music Together, Discovery Days with NatureBridge Education, and Young Artist Series are some examples of classes the Museum offer. More details can be found at http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/programs-and-events/family-morning-after-sc...

Discovery Camps: The Museum's Camps ignite children's creative thinking as they experience our open-ended, child-directed approach: building forts, writing and performing plays about super heros and fairy tales, discovery around Fort Baker or experimenting with art materials to their heart's delight. The Museum uses an interdisciplinary curriculum to highlight connections between art and science through active exploration of camp themes. The Bay Area Discovery Museum offers several camps during the school year, which occur during Winter Break, MLK Break, February Break and Spring Break. The Museum also offers many comprehensive Summer Camp Programming. More information can be found at http://www.baykidsmuseum.org/programs-and-events/camps/
