Kathi O'Leary Photography

Portrait and family photographer Kathi O’Leary has garnered a reputation as one of the best in the City. In addition to creating fantastic images for her clients, Kathi runs a photography school and birthday party space for children and adults in her spacious studio. She is also available to teach workshops at schools.

Kathi offers Kids Nights Out on Fridays for kids ages 8 to 16. Activities include studio photography, Photoshop editing, and special effects.

Classes:
One-day classes and a series of weekly classes, group or private, are offered to kids and adults. Students learn the basics of photography, composition, portraiture, printing, and more. Rental cameras are available for a small fee.

Kathi offers 4-in-a-series afterschool basic or intermediate level photography classes for kids ages 8 and up. DVD and portfolio will be created and curiculum will vary with age, experience, and interest. Must purchase the $95 series all four classes.

Camps:
Kathi’s summer and school break workshops teach children not just how to use a camera but also how to appreciate photography as an art form. Kids learn how to shoot still-lifes and portraits, and go on field trips to capture images in nature.

These fees include use of a digital camera and printing costs and snacks. Children must bring extra snacks/lunch as needed. Registration must be completed to be admitted to class.

Celebrations:
Have your child’s birthday party at Kathi’s studio. Kids ages 6 and up get a mini portrait lesson while playing dress up with an eclectic selection of costumes and props. Kids make digital portraits of each other and bring home a professionally printed portrait, plus a group photo by Kathi. The birthday celebrant gets an extra special CD to bring home. You’ll have to bring everything, from food and drinks to party supplies. A two-hour party package for up to 10 kids is $240 plus $10 per guest.
