Habitot Children's Museum is a great East Bay resource for young kids. They feature a drop-in art studio, dramatic play stage, "Architects at Play," water play area, enclosed climbing structure, play grocery store and diner as well as a great wind tunnel. They also have a specific play area for non-walkers and barely-walkers, keeping them safely in their own area.
Habitot hosts "Parents' Night Out" every fourth Friday of the month for kids ages 2 to 7 from 5:30pm–9:30pm. Admission is $35 per child with a $10 discount for siblings. Price includes cheese pizza dinner. Space is limited; call to reserve.
Pizza is served during Pizza Fridays from 11am–12:30pm. Slices of cheese pizza are only $1.
Habitot offers a lot of great classes and special programs including art, ceramics and clay, dramatic play, science, music, dance and movement, cooking, carpentry, playgroups, infant massage, and post-natal yoga.
While there are classes for kids up to age 7, most are designed for toddlers and preschoolers, even a few for infants. Parenting and safety classes are also offered to parents and caregivers.
Habitot welcomes children with many kinds of special needs, including those with visual impairment, hearing impairment, Down's Syndrome, and others.

What We've Heard"I just visited Habitot for the first time and I was really impressed. It was a great place to bring both my 6-month-old and my 5-year-old. They were both kept entertained and safe."
