Planet Granite

A world class climbing gym in the Presidio offers climbing for all levels, from beginner to expert. Students will learn top roping, leading, cracks, and world-class bouldering. The gym also boasts of a complete fitness center and yoga studio. Get in shape, stay in shape, train as an expert athlete, or just connect with your community. Customers are climbers, adventurers, families, working professionals, students, and athletes of all abilities.

Drop off the kids every other Friday for the Night Climb and Dine program. For $40, kids ages 6 to 13 enjoy climbing time and pizza from 6pm–8:30pm. Cost includes includes climbing, harness rental, helmet, and a kid's style dinner. Reservations required.

Classes:
Learn the sport of rock climbing in a fun and safe environment. Two-hour afterschool classes are available for kids ages 5 to 13. The cost is $125 per five-week session.

The gym also offers private belaying for kids. Rates range from $60 for 1 child per hour to $145 for 4 children per hour.

Celebrations:
Host a two-hour climbing party at Planet Granite. The cost is $70 per instructor and $14 per child (one instructor is recommended for every five children); $100 minimum per party. Call for reservations and note that the San Francisco location does not have a party room.
